Who we are

This app (“CYNC”, the “App”) and the Cync Ball putting sensor are provided by CYNC Labs Inc. (“CYNC”, “we”, “us”, “our”), 19 Elm Street, Buffalo, New York 14203, United States.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect through the CYNC mobile app and connected Cync Ball hardware, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. By using the App you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Bluetooth and the Cync Ball

The App uses Bluetooth to connect to and exchange data with your Cync Ball sensor, including while the App is in the background, so that putts are captured reliably. Bluetooth is used only to communicate with the hardware; it is not used to determine your location.

How we use your information

Third-party sign-in

If you choose Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, the provider authenticates you and shares a limited set of information (such as your name and email, or an Apple private-relay email if you choose to hide it). We use this only to create and secure your account. Your use of those services is also governed by Apple’s and Google’s own privacy policies.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and CYNC. We do not sell your personal data.

Data retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active, and thereafter only as required for legal, security, or administrative purposes. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data (see “Your rights”).

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@cynclabs.com.

You can also manage push notifications and Bluetooth in your device settings, and delete your account from within the App or by contacting us.

Children’s privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

International data transfers

We are based in the United States and may process and store your data in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers. This Privacy Policy and any dispute relating to it are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
